Setting a New Standard in UAE Education

As the UAE’s education sector enters a transformative phase, GEMS Education is contributing significantly to this growth with the launch of its most ambitious project yet — the School of Research and Innovation (SRI). Scheduled to open in August 2025 at Dubai Sports City, this $100 million campus reflects the country's commitment to creating future-ready learning environments.

Spread across 47,600 square metres, the SRI campus will offer world-class infrastructure, including an NBA-spec basketball court, Premier League-level football field, Olympic-size swimming pool, 400m running track, and even a helipad for added convenience. The school will follow an enhanced British curriculum, with annual fees ranging from AED116,000 to AED152,000 for FS1 to Year 6, and up to AED206,000 for Year 12. Founding families will benefit from a 20% discount for the 2026 academic year.

More than just infrastructure, the school aims to redefine learning by embedding cutting-edge technology and forward-thinking pedagogy into its core. Key features include:

AI-powered personalized learning platforms

Robotics and engineering labs

Blockchain-based student achievement records

Go-kart engineering workshops along a purpose-built track

A LEED Gold-certified design, with sustainable infrastructure and underground parking

A 600-seat auditorium and creative arts spaces for cultural and extracurricular growth

According to Sunny Varkey, Chairman and Founder of GEMS Education, SRI will “set new global standards” and unlock student potential through a mix of innovation, excellence, and holistic development.

Importantly, the project aligns with the UAE’s Social Agenda 33 and Dubai Vision 2040, reinforcing the nation’s goal of becoming a global hub for educational excellence and innovation.
