Al Wasl University
In Brief
Al Wasl University is a non-profit educational institution of higher education in the United Arab Emirates, founded by His Excellency Juma Al Majid, and its first nucleus was laid in 1986 under the auspices of the Government of Dubai, to be a platform for science, a tributary center for human development and human building, and an effective tool in the service of the UAE society. Al Wasl University is concerned with science and knowledge, with the aim of emphasizing the distinctive cultural identity of the Emirati community in various scientific fields. The university offers free study to students, at the undergraduate level in Islamic studies and Arabic language, at a nominal fee at the level of graduate programs and others. The study at the university is based on the semester system of eight semesters, in which the academic year is divided into two independent semesters, and the duration of study to obtain a bachelor's degree is four years.
